Who is Ben?
Ben “LeBoot” LeBoutillier is an author and originator — he looks at broken systems, understands them whole, and designs what should be instead. He takes on big, tangled questions and invites everyone he meets to grow along the way.
A physicist by training, with experience in healthcare, classrooms, and analytics, he sits where some of the modern world’s biggest institutions overlap. That vantage lets him see how the pieces should fit together.
Today he works in medical data, turning clinical information into clear answers for researchers and practitioners at the bedside.
His first book, Practical Advice for a Better World, brings these instincts to society itself: a dozen real, workable fixes for the systems we all live inside. It's a Silver Winner of the 2025 Nautilus Book Awards — a fitting honor for a book about a better world.
He also hosts Stories of Symmetry, exploring the deeper meaning behind faith and the stories that connect us.
Off the clock, he’s happiest with his family — taking on ever-more-ambitious gardening and handyman projects, and occasionally losing to them.
